Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital Acute Care Unit in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Clinical Technician 2 for a part-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with rotating weekends/holidays. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.

The role offers hands-on skill development, teamwork, and a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year as Clinical Technician or completion of acute care clinical rotations and nursing program enrollment.
• Certification: BLS from American Heart Association or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35 lbs.

25 & 26 Main Acute Care Unit Description

The Acute Care Unit (25 & 26 Main) is a 31-bed, dynamic unit caring for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma, neurology/stroke, and oncology patients.

As a Clinical Technician, you'll play a key role in hands-on patient care, working closely with nurses and providers in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Clinical Technician 2 - Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available six (6) for non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
  • Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
  • Virtual training modules.
  • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
  • On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completed an acute care clinical rotations, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
