Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital - Oncology is seeking a Clinical Technician to join the team in Falls Church, VA. The role is full-time with a 6:00 AM–6:30 PM schedule on rotating days, weekends, and holidays, supporting nursing staff in direct patient care.

Responsibilities include direct patient care under RN supervision, clear communication with the care team and patients, and upholding professional standards. Training and CTA sessions are expected as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association, or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to lift minimum of 35 lbs

• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.

Training:

• Clinical Technician Academy (CTA): 6 Classroom-style sessions located in Falls Church VA: 8AM - 4:30PM
• 1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM - 4:30PM
• 1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM - 4:30PM

Training dates are pre-set and non-negotiable; recruitment team will share further information.

Current Inova Clinical Technicians & rehires under 1 year are exempt from CTA.

Your first week will be a required Monday - Friday schedule - regardless of your positions normal schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
