Inova Fairfax Hospital – ICU - Med Surg is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 to join a dedicated care team in Falls Church, VA. The role supports patient care and collaborates with nurses to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The position requires flexibility for 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, and weekend/holiday coverage. Training is provided to new hires to ensure clinical proficiency and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds.

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.

Training

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
