Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 Float to join the Float Pool. This full-time role features rotating day and night shifts, with hours from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM and 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, and rotating weekends and holidays.

You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and collaborate with the care team to support safe, high-quality patient experiences. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, American Heart Association BLS (within 90 days), strong English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Physical ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

• Provide direct patient care under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

Clinical Technician - Job Responsibilities :

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.

Training :

• Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
