Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital - Acute Care Unit is seeking a Clinical Technician 2 for a part-time night schedule (7:00PM–7:30AM) with days varying and rotating weekends/holidays. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and support a dynamic 31-bed unit that handles medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma, neurology/stroke and oncology patients.

This role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, professionalism, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience as Clinical Technician or acute care rotations with nursing program enrollment.
• BLS from American Heart Association or within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

25 & 26 Main Acute Care Unit Description

The Acute Care Unit (25 & 26 Main) is a 31-bed, dynamic unit caring for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma, neurology/stroke, and oncology patients.

As a Clinical Technician, you'll play a key role in hands-on patient care, working closely with nurses and providers in a supportive, team-focused environment.

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.

Training:

Must be available six (6) for non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Virtual training modules.
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• On-unit shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completed an acute care clinical rotations, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
