Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital – Acute Care Unit is seeking a Clinical Technician 2 for a part-time day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and clear communication with the care team and patients.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of clinical technician experience or acute care rotations, and BLS. English communication must be strong, with the ability to lift 35 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE).
• 1 year clinical technician experience or acute care rotations with nursing program enrollment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of a registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: must be available six weeks of paid training, including virtual orientations and classroom sessions.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Clinical Technician 2 – Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available six (6) for non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
  • Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
  • Virtual training modules.
  • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
  • On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completed an acute care clinical rotations, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills:Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements:Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
