Job summary

Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system delivering care across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. This full-time role supports the clinical team, providers and patients to deliver timely, quality health care and a positive patient experience.

You will schedule appointments, manage check-ins, assist with select patient care tasks, and document in the electronic medical record. The 8-hour day shift supports 40 hours per two weeks with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; healthcare, patient care, EMR experience or medical terminology
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association/Red Cross or in-house training within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the clinical team, providers and patients to deliver timely and quality health care services
• Schedules quick appointments, fixes scheduling errors, edits appointment notes
• Greets patients or sets up virtual visits, performs identification verification and informs patients of wait time
• Administers questionnaires and documents in EMR, prepares patient forms for providers signatures
• May perform patient care tasks based on training, prepares rooms and assists with procedures
• Performs daily crash cart checks, safety checks and maintains equipment and supplies
• Places work orders and Service Now tickets as needed
• Other duties as assigned
