Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. seeks a Research Scientist to develop and supervise projects focused on traumatic brain injury.

This role supports TBICoE at Fort Bragg, combining clinical research with technology development in a DoD context. Required are a doctoral degree and 2–3 years of clinical TBIs research, with training in CITI/HIPAA. The successful candidate will manage experiments, write manuscripts, prepare grant proposals, and supervise

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required; Ph.D., MD or MD/PhD or terminal doctorate preferred.
• Must complete CITI/HIPAA training.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical research experience.
• Prior DoD/VA system experience with neurological disorders and TBI is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes, and oversees laboratory research; formulates hypotheses and designs protocols.
• Monitors scientific literature; prepares reports and manuscripts for journals and patent applications.
• Coordinates and prepares new grant and funding applications.
• Processes and interprets experimental data; records documentation to professional standards.
• Trains and supervises technical staff; collaborates with other staff; may attend required trainings.
