Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine seeks a Research Scientist to develop and supervise clinical TBI research projects in support of the TBICoE at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC.

The role includes protocol development, data interpretation and translational tool creation for DoD personnel and veterans. The ideal candidate holds a doctoral degree with 2–3 years of relevant clinical research experience, completes CITI/HIPAA training, and may require DoD security

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD or terminal doctorate; Master’s with substantial clinical TBI experience considered
• CITI/HIPAA training required
• 2–3 years of clinical research experience required
• DoD/VA neurological disorders and TBI experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plans, executes, and oversees laboratory research; formulates hypotheses and designs protocols.
• Monitors literature; prepares reports, manuscripts and patent applications.
• Coordinates and prepares grant and funding applications.
• Processes and interprets experimental data.
• Trains and supervises technical staff; may participate in required trainings.
