Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Clinical Systems Engineer II to apply engineering and information-systems principles to medical-device integration, interoperability, and lifecycle management across the enterprise.

You will independently manage assigned clinical systems, support EHR integration, middleware, cybersecurity, and operational support, and collaborate with Clinical Engineering, IS, and vendors to ensure safe, reliable patient care technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Five or more years in Clinical Engineering, healthcare IT or related field.
• Experience with integrated clinical systems and multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to troubleshoot and coordinate with Information Services or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and supports technologies, interoperability, and infrastructure for medical-device integration.
• Leads defined technical workstreams or projects of moderate complexity.
• Develops and maintains operational support models, documentation, test plans, and escalation paths.
• Plans and executes testing/validation of data pathways, interfaces, and workflows.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting and coordinates with IS and vendors on complex issues.
• Supports cybersecurity risk management for connected medical technologies.
• Monitors device vulnerabilities and coordinates follow-up activities.
• Maintains system inventories and documentation repositories.
• Participates in technology assessment, procurement, and implementation planning.
