Job summary

UNC Health Care Hillsborough Campus is seeking a Clinical Support Technician II to join the 1st Floor Medicine Unit. The role combines nursing assistant duties with health unit coordination to support admissions, treatments, transfers and discharges on a 36-hour per week schedule with rotating day and night shifts.

You will assist with patient care, clerical tasks, and communication flows on the unit, while ensuring supply stocking, training of new staff, and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registered as Nursing Assistant I or II in NC.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with exams and equipment.
• Document patient care changes and report to RN/MD.
• Provide clerical support, patient transport, and records maintenance.
• Offer direct patient care per plan of care activities.
• Maintain supply inventory and unit cleanliness.
