The role combines Nursing Assistant I duties with Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities, supporting patient care and clerical tasks on a 36-hour weekly schedule with rotating day/night shifts.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant I in NC; able to work day and night shifts.
• Experience coordinating unit clerical tasks is a plus.
• Fluent in English; able to develop computer skills if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist professionals with exams and procedures; procure equipment.
• Review patient care documentation; report changes to nurse/physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: greet visitors, answer calls, transcribe orders, maintain records.
• Provide clinical support: transport, linen changes, inventory, orient new staff.
• Provide direct patient care per care plan: bathing, feeding, ambulation; record vitals.
• Reinforce patient education and distribute education materials.
