UNC Health in Chapel Hill seeks a Clinical Support Technician I (Nursing Assistant I + Clerical) for the 6 Memorial unit. The role supports professional caregivers, transports patients, sets up rooms, and handles clerical duties to keep the unit efficient.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, reviewing care notes, coordinating workflow, transporting patients and supplies, basic patient care, and reinforcing patient education.

Competenze

• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Nursing Assistant I certification per NC DHHS.
• No prior experience required.

Mansioni

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically reviews patient care documentation and reports significant changes to a nurse or physician.
• Performs clerical tasks including organizing workload, greeting visitors, reviewing orders, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records; conducts QA and PI data entry.
• Provides clinical support such as cleaning, equipment maintenance, inventory, patient transport, and orientation of new staff.
• Provides direct patient care per plan of care activities, including bathing, feeding, ambulation, vitals, and specimen collection as needed.
• Reinforces patient teaching and distributes education materials.
