UNC Health Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, NC is hiring a Nursing Assistant I to support patient care across Acute Care, Telemetry, ICU, ED and Behavioral Health. This role offers self-scheduling flexibility and competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities include assisting the professional caregiver, transporting patients and equipment, maintaining rooms, and handling clerical tasks. Requires high school diploma or GED, NC Nursing Assistant I, and BLS; prior experience not required.

Competenze

Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
Ability to develop computer skills if not competent.

Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
Critically reviews patient care documentation and reports changes to nurse or physician.
Performs clerical tasks: organize workload, direct visitors, review orders, transcribe orders, maintain records, conduct PI audits and data entry.
Provide clinical support: clean work area, troubleshoot equipment, transport patients/supplies, assist orientation of new staff.
Provide direct patient care as outlined in plan of care: bathing, feeding, ambulation, vital signs, etc.
Distribute patient education materials and reinforce instructions.
