UNC Health Caldwell ICU in North Carolina seeks a Nursing Assistant I to support the professional caregiver in patient care, transport, room setup, and clerical tasks. The role involves assisting with documentation, taking vital signs, and contributing to patient education.

Position is per diem, onsite at Caldwell Memorial Hospital's ICU, 12 hours per week, with a salary range of $16.51–$23.62 per hour. Hiring offers are determined by experience and internal equity.

Competenze

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English language.
• Capability to develop computer skills if not competent.
• High school diploma or GED required; Nursing Assistant I certification preferred or required.

Mansioni

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically reviews patient care documentation making note of any significant changes in the patient's condition and make an immediate report to a registered nurse or physician.
• Provides a variety of clerical tasks including organizing workload, greeting visitors, researching information for nurses and physicians, reviewing and revising orders, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records.
• Provides clinical support including cleaning work area, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting software/hardware, changing linens, checking inventory, transporting patients and specimens, and orienting new staff.
• Provides direct personal care per plan of care: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, recording vitals, and other routine tasks.
• Reinforces patient education and distributes educational materials.
