Job summary

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a NC Nursing Assistant I license with BLS. No prior experience is required; English fluency is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
• Licensed Nursing Assistant I per NC DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior experience not required.
• Must be fluent in verbal and written English language.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically reviews patient care documentation, noting significant changes and reporting to RN or physician.
• Provides clerical support including organizing workload, greeting visitors, transcribing orders, and maintaining medical records.
• Provides clinical support including cleaning work areas, transporting patients/supplies, and assisting in orientation of new staff.
• Provides direct personal care per plan of care (bathing, feeding, ambulation) and records vital signs and measurements.
• Reinforces patient teaching and distributes educational materials.
