Job summary

SBCS is seeking a Clinical Support Manager to support Probation staff at the Youth Transition Campus and East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility. You will provide individual counseling, group support, and clinical consultation while building a trauma-informed team environment.

You will ensure staff have access to county benefits and community resources, respond to crises, and collaborate with leadership to reduce recidivism and promote positive youth development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field with current BBS registration.
• At least two years’ experience working with staff in institutions and with at-risk youth.
• Trained in the assessment and treatment of substance use and mental health disorders.
• Experience in community-based organizations.
• Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care.
• Flexibility to respond to crisis situations and adapt under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide development, support and services to Probation staff who work in institutions at YTC and EMJDF.
• Establish trusting relationships with Probation officers and staff.
• Provide individual counseling, group support and consultation to staff.
• Establish regular working hours at YTC.
• Serve as a resource by maintaining knowledge of county benefits and community resources.
• Proactively reach out to staff in hardship, provide counseling, and link to services.
• Support SBCS staff with Probation youth; avoid direct youth services except in emergencies.
