Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to lead and supervise client care teams, ensuring safe, high-quality home health services in alignment with state regulations and agency policies.

The Nursing Supervisor will manage RNs, LPN/LVNs, and Home Health Aides, collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services, participate in on-call rotations, and support care planning, documentation, and staff development across assigned client cases.

Qualifications

• RN license in state(s) of practice (active) and CPR certification.
• BSN preferred for leadership role with clinical oversight.
• Minimum 2 years homecare experience with a bachelor; 3 years if non-bachelor; at least 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a team of clinical staff (RNs, LPN/LVNs, Home Health Aides) to ensure safe, effective home care.
• Be available during regular business hours and as needed to support care delivery.
• Receive referrals, assess needs, and assign clinicians to cases.
• Meet with staff regularly to guide issues and set goals for client care.
• Attend case conferences to coordinate care and participate in on-call rotation.
• Complete client visits or shifts as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Provide staff education on clinical services, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure weekly accuracy of clinical documentation and quarterly chart reviews.
• Assist in screening, interviewing, orientation, and training of new personnel.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and supervise admissions, visits, and reassessments.
• Develop care plans and manage orders from medical practitioners.
