Job summary

First Day Homecare New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee client care teams, ensure quality home care delivery, and comply with the state Nurse Practice Act.

The role reports to the Director of Clinical Services, supervises RNs, LPN/LVNs, and Home Health Aides, and participates in on-call rotations, case conferences, audits, and staff training to maintain high standards. Per diem schedule and travel to client homes are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the practice states with homecare experience requirements.
• Two years' homecare experience if bachelor prepared or three years if non-bachelor; one year supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be a licensed driver with automobile insurance; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages and directs a team of clinical staff including RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and HHAs to ensure safe, effective home care.
• Available during regular hours and as needed to support and assure quality care delivery.
• Receives referrals, determines services required, and assigns clinicians to cases.
• Leads regular meetings to guide staff, set priorities, and evaluate progress toward goals.
• Participates in clinical on-call rotation and case conferences to coordinate care.
• Completes chart reviews and supports staff training and new-hire orientation.
