Job Summary:

The clinical supervisor is a member of the Hamilton Health Center management team responsible for oversight of the 17th St. clinical departments. This position is charged with ensuring the delivery of high quality health care in a manner that is both cost efficient and meets all regulatory agency requirements. This position is expected to function approximately 50% in the clinic in either clerical, clinical or combination of both, and 50% administrative responsibilities as directed by the clinical manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise staff, assign work, and organize scheduling for efficient day-to-day clinic operations.
  • Maintain clinic procedures, office files, and ensure accurate documentation, coding, and billing.
  • Monitor staff attendance, address deviations, and manage payroll practices.
  • Investigate and address patient issues/complaints in collaboration with providers.
  • Provide training and communication, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with providers, patients, and facilities for referrals and authorizations.
  • Train staff in The Joint Commission standards and support regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in budgeting, oversee inventory, and manage facility maintenance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, make hiring recommendations, and oversee administrative staff activities.
  • Directly supervise Medical Assistants and Medical Office Assistant.
  • Oversee special projects and ensure appropriate follow-up care for abnormal lab results.
  • Document patient interactions and provide initial guidance on clinical skills development.
  • Submit required reports, attend meetings, and conduct monthly staff meetings.
  • Preform other job duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant School
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant.
  • Associates Degree preferred.

Work Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a medical office, at least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office and knowledge working with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Reliable transportation to travel throughout the service area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior CPR/First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commissionregulations
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, Nepali, French
