The role supports the unit's manager, may assume 24-hour responsibility in their absence, and requires strong clinical leadership with experience in a specialized area. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, hold a Georgia RN license or multi-state license, and maintain BLS certification; ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years of clinical experience with at least one year in a specialty area.
• Current Georgia RN license or Multistate license (NLC/eNLC).
• Valid BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations on a unit.
• Provide 24-hour nursing coverage in the absence of Manager/Director.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
