Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead the nursing operations of a dedicated unit in Atlanta. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring safety, and maintaining high standards of patient care within a fast-paced environment.

The incumbent will assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director and work with the unit-based leadership team to optimize outcomes for patients served by the unit.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with at least one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current Georgia license as a Registered Nurse or Multistate license (NLC/eNLC).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Color vision required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager/Director, may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.
• Collaborate with the unit-based leadership team to ensure patient care quality.

Education

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.

Work Hours:

7:00pm-7:30am
