Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee nursing operations on a unit and assume 24-hour responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director. The role works with a unit-specific patient population and requires strong leadership and clinical expertise.

Candidates must hold a Georgia RN license or multi-state license, and BLS certification, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 2+ years in a clinical area, including 1 year in a specialty.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• 3 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in a specialty area.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with 2 years of clinical experience including 1 year in specialty area.
• Current Georgia RN license or valid multi-state/NLC.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.
• Color vision adequate for unit-specific roles.
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP or other specialty certifications.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
