Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Norfolk, VA. You will support the Clinical Director, oversee daily operations of the clinical program, and ensure a warm recovery environment for clients.

The role emphasizes group facilitation, documentation compliance, and Utilization Review support to maximize treatment retention and authorization. Virginia licensure (LPC/LCSW/LSATP) and a Master’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in related field preferred.
• 3 years experience with chemical dependency or dual diagnosed clients preferred.
• Active Virginia licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LSATP.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive, warm, and dignified recovery-oriented presence.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist Clinical Director as necessary in all relevant duties
• Manage the daily execution of all aspects of the Avenues clinical program
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and encouraging recovery environment
• Facilitate group occasionally and maintain small client caseload
• Provide consistent compliance oversight to ensure impeccable client documentation
• Provide Utilization Review support to drive authorization and retention throughout treatment
