  • Coordinate clinical charting procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines and timely documentation.
  • Facilitate coordination of clinical services within Journey and with outside agencies; resolve system and clinical issues.
  • Provide leadership to staff meetings, training programs, recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of staff and volunteers.
  • Monitor scheduling, time off, and budgeting; participate in program budget discussions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
A. Clinical Supervision
  • Provide clinical consultation, review, and oversight to clinical team members, and through regularly scheduled consultation, education, instruction, and counsel, assure the general clinical and cultural competence of all services delivered to consumers.2.
  • Review the performance and goals for supervisees on an annual and as needed basis.
  • Provide clinical back up as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee a system of appropriate clinical charting procedures which ensure the service's compliance with Center, County, and State guidelines and mandates. Review documentation for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Facilitate the coordination of clinical services within Journey and with outside agencies. Provide problem resolution around system issues, clinical issues, cultural competence, consumer grievances and difficult cases.
B. Administrative Leadership
  • Provide leadership to staff meetings in Outpatient Services, training programs and other designated functions.
  • Provide leadership in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating of new staff, students and volunteers.
  • Monitor and ensure staff service and service specific expectations including documentation and procedural requirements.
  • Approve and monitor scheduling, time off requests, training requests and other aspects of each member of the program team.
  • Participate in program budgetary discussions, decision making, and implement programming based on budget.
QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Education/Licensure
ESSENTIAL
  • Master's degree in a related behavioral health field.
  • Licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) and/or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT), In training Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-IT) or Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) with experience providing Alcohol and Drug Services.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, a favorable driving record, adequate insurance (per WI law) and access to an automobile and willingness to use it for work (i.e., transporting consumers)
Preferred
  • Licensure as a LPC, LMFT, LCSW, CSAC, SAC, or AODA specialty.
Experience
ESSENTIAL
  • Experience with supervisory and/or leadership responsibilities
  • Commitment to work toward improving cultural competence as demonstrated by valuing diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one's competencies, and having the desire to improve.
  • Experience in community-based substance abuse and/or mental health assessment, case management, treatment planning, interventions, and crisis resolution and the ability to supervise other staff involved in similar activities.
  • Superior ethics and interpersonal boundaries as evidenced by experience in community-based work and related professional references.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness and availability to work in a variety of settings (in home, in office, in school, in community) and to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings.
Preferred
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/Hmong/Cambodian).
Physical Requirements:

Requires driving, sitting, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching, and the ability to use and operate standard office equipment, including computers, calculator, phone, printer, cell phone, facsimile, etc.

Working Conditions:

May require evening or weekend hours depending on program and consumer's needs.

Hiring Requirement:

All potential candidates will need to successfully pass the Background Information Disclosure (BID) for entity employees and contractors. Wisconsin's Caregivers Law requires background, and criminal checks are required by the Department of Health Services and Wis. Stat. 50.065(6)(c) and Wis. Admin Code § DHS 12.05(4)
