Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a nurse leader for a dual clinical and managerial role. The position delivers direct and indirect patient care, participates in hiring and disciplinary actions, and communicates changes in patient status with physicians and the team.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS, and preferably TNCC/ENPC, with at least three years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice.
• Current BLS, ACLS.
• Current TNCC and ENPC certification, preferred.
• Three years nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR in partnership with patient.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current situations and needs.
• Responsible for disciplinary actions, participates in hiring and termination of staff.
• Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
