Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks a registered nurse to provide safe, competent care aligned with facility policies and the Patient Centered Care philosophy. You will lead and support the healthcare team, ensuring services meet patient and family needs while upholding Service Excellence.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, clinical leadership, and adherence to quality standards across ER, cardiology, oncology, L&D, NICU, and surgical services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; coordinates direct and indirect patient care.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care; develops goals, treatment and discharge plans.
