Position Overview

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes the assessment and analysis of a patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, oversight of implementation, collaboration with caregivers, and ongoing coaching of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans address medical necessity and are delivered in a variety of settings, including the CARD center, patient homes, schools, community sites, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager and are a salaried, exempt, full‑time position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient.
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans.
  • Ensure 100% treatment adherence for all supervision hours each month.
  • Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths.
  • Analyze challenging behaviors to determine their function.
  • Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Observe treatment implementation and suggest program revisions.
  • Monitor treatment integrity and adjust protocols based on data.
  • Direct behavior technicians in implementing new or revised protocols.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training for behavioral technicians.
  • Work physically within the center to support technicians and observe best practices.
  • Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment protocols.
  • Update treatment plans monthly based on patient response.
  • Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, including supervisory and therapy hours.
  • Accurately communicate treatment response to caregivers, payers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate care with other professionals.
  • Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments.
  • Include caregivers as part of the treatment team through consistent collaboration meetings.
  • Interact with payers professionally and thoroughly, including funding meetings such as IEP and peer reviews.
  • Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and patient medical records.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Partner consistently with center leadership, including Operations Manager, other Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician Leaders, and more.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field (required).
  • Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required).
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (required).

  • Must pass a tuberculosis test.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Work Environment

Treatment may occur in patient homes, the CARD center, schools, community sites, or via telehealth. Supervisors work both indoors and outdoors and may move between locations throughout the day. Environments can include loud or excessive noise.

Physical Requirements
  • Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other settings.
  • Move frequently to gather materials and respond to patient movements.
  • Position oneself to block or respond to patient behaviors, including bending, kneeling, or kneeling as needed.
  • Use continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movement.
  • Occasionally move quickly or use weight to support patients.
  • Teach patients vocal speech and model speech clearly.
  • Model gross and fine motor skills as needed.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including various weather conditions.
  • Lift or move up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients.
