Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the unit-based leadership team in Atlanta. The role provides supervision of nursing operations on a unit, ensuring patient safety and care standards.

In the absence of the Manager or Director, this position may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility, supporting staff development and collaboration with the unit's patient population.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with at least one year in area of specialty.
• Current GA RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations on a unit.
• In the absence of the Manager or Director, may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

1. Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
2. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
