Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking a START Coordinator to manage a caseload, provide systemic consultation, and coordinate comprehensive assessments and service plans across START programs. The role requires travel, on-call crisis coverage, and collaboration with clinical leadership.

The position emphasizes data-driven documentation, regulatory compliance, and ongoing professional certification, with annual salary of $80,000.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field.
• At least two years’ experience working with I/DD or behavioral health; bachelor’s degree acceptable per policy.
• Successful START Coordinator Certification training within 12 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an active caseload of 20–25 individuals referred for START Services.
• Provides systemic consultation to systems/teams using best practices and escalation as needed.
• Conducts home, in-person, or telehealth evaluations and ongoing assessments as required.
• Coordinates referrals, intake assessments and documentation for START and related services.
• Develops crisis plans and coordinates responses with Medical/Clinical Directors when needed.
• Participates in meetings and trainings; provides on-call crisis coverage as scheduled.
• Accurate data entry into START Information Reporting System and other required systems.
