Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensed as an SLP in the state where services are provided or eligible for licensure.
• Proficient in documentation and record-keeping per state/facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral or one business day; document delays with reasons.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physician.
• Treat patients per physician plan and document progress.
• Supervise CFY/CFY-trained individuals and staff in patient care activities.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and health team members; participate in conferences.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training.
• Comply with state practice act and facility policies; participate in discharge planning.
