Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. in Haleyville, AL is seeking a Staff Speech Language Pathologist to provide quality evaluations and treatments for patients with communication and swallowing disorders, under the Clinical Director.

The role involves identifying, assessing, and treating speech, language, and dysphagia issues across all ages, and participating in departmental operations. Candidates should hold an ASHA CCC-SLP and state license, with fellowship experience preferred; supervision available

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree with ASHA CCC-SLP and state license.
• Fellowship year completion preferred or supervision by a CCC-SLP.

Responsibilities

• Screening, identifying, assessing and interpreting, diagnosing, and rehabilitating disorders of speech (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice) and language.
• Screening, identifying, assessing and interpreting, diagnosing and rehabilitating dysphagia and related disorders.
• Screening, identifying, assessing and interpreting, diagnosing, and rehabilitating cognitive/communication disorders.
• Assisting in record keeping and charging system of the department.
• Discharge planning in treatment program.
• Documenting evaluation, treatment plan, goals, progress notes, and discharge summary of patients treated.
• Performing staff and nursing in-service programs as needed on areas of relevant interest and need.
