Job summary

Encore Rehabilitation Services in the United States seeks a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to provide quality evaluations and treatments for patients with communication and/or swallowing deficits, under the Clinical Director.

The role involves screening, diagnosing, and rehabilitating speech/language and dysphagia disorders across all ages, with responsibilities for record-keeping and potential discharge planning within the department.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• ASHA CCC credential and applicable State License.
• Clinical fellowship year preferred or will be supervised by a CCC-SLP.

Responsibilities

• Screen, identify, assess, diagnose, and rehabilitate speech and language disorders.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
• Assess oropharyngeal function and cognitive/communication disorders.
• Develop and train augmentative and alternative communication systems.
• Assist with record keeping and department charging.
• Discharge planning within treatment programs.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, goals and progress notes.
• Deliver in-service training to staff and nursing personnel.
