Job summary

Huntsville Rehabilitation and Wellness is seeking a dedicated, full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our therapy team in Huntsville, AL. You will evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges to help them regain skills for safer daily living.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, and an active Alabama license, along with strong communication and a genuine heart for older adults.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Active Alabama SLP license.
• Strong communication skills and empathy for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Complete swallow evaluations and recommend diets and safe-swallow strategies.
• Train residents, families, and nursing staff on communication and dysphagia techniques.
• Document evaluations, treatment, progress, and discharge plans.
• Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with nursing, OT, PT, and dietary.
• Follow all state and federal regulations and facility policies.
