Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist for a 13-week Therapy assignment in Ohio. The role focuses on evaluating and treating receptive and expressive communication and swallowing disorders in a clinical setting.

The position requires Ohio Medical License, CPR certification, and COVID-19 vaccination documentation. Day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a staffing augmentation focus and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must provide a resume and cover letter.
• Current CPR certification and COVID vaccination documentation (or exemption).
• Ohio Medical License.
• Minimum years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills.
• Develop and implement individual and group therapy programs to enhance communication and address swallowing deficiencies.
• Recommend changes in food texture and liquid consistency to improve swallowing.
• Design and deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services, including hearing screenings.
• Provide training and support for individuals using hearing aids.
• Teach basic reading, word recognition, social communication skills, and sign language.
• Deliver in-service training to staff on speech-language techniques and protocols.
• Act as a sign language interpreter as necessary.
• Participate as an interdisciplinary team member for treatment planning and care.
• Attend meetings, workshops, and seminars to improve professional skills and knowledge.
• Compose and complete reports, lesson plans, and other documents to implement and track treatment programs.
• Operate office software to create and store records; maintain electronic augmentative communication devices and hearing aids.
