The role leads clerical staff, resolves complaints, manages scheduling and billing interfaces, ensures compliance, and drives initiatives such as PCMH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum; master's preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead clerical staff to schedule patients, verify demographics, and manage referrals and recalls.
• Act as liaison between health center and patients to resolve complaints.
• Oversee personnel management, training, and employee appraisals.
• Collaborate with Finance to improve revenue and reduce waste.
• Support PCMH and other initiatives.
• Monitor care environment with Facilities for safety and cleanliness.
• Improve patient experience and staff engagement.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinic operations.
• Adjust provider schedules and manage panels to meet demand.
• Prepare schedules for leave and reschedule as needed.
• Update management boards with access and quality metrics.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Compliance Department.
• Serve as front desk/medical records/site operator when needed.
• Provide orientation and ongoing training for clerical staff.
• Review clerical team performance during annual evaluations.
• Lead monthly clerical meetings to review policies and collect feedback.
• Review registration error queue and coordinate with Billing for corrections.
• Support redesigned health care service delivery model.
• Coordinate staffing across sites for leaves and continuity.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty for ongoing operations.
• Oversee administrative supplies and procurements.
• Prepare and submit timecards for direct reports.
• Other duties as assigned and documented.
