Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care during visits. The role involves observing, documenting, and collaborating with the care team in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Scribes gain expertise in value-based care, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and real-time charting, with extensive on-the-job training in clinical workflows and population health data streams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience or shadowing is strongly preferred.
• Scribe or transcription experience is optional but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time with structured notes.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for accurate documentation.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries and support care team workflows.
• Assist providers with administrative tasks and referrals.
