Job summary

Waukesha County is seeking a Fiscal Assistant - Clinical Scheduler to coordinate patient and provider calendars in a Behavioral Health clinic. You will manage ~35 provider calendars in the myAvatar EHR, enter appointments, process scheduling requests, and ensure records are accurate and confidential.

Responsibilities include scheduling follow-ups, coordinating new, return, and rescheduled visits, and delivering professional, trauma-informed service to patients and staff while protecting privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of post-high school work experience in finance or accounting.
• One year of post-high school education in accounting/finance/business may substitute for the work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor approximately 35 provider calendars in myAvatar and enter appointments accurately.
• Receive, review, prioritize, and process appointment requests, changes, cancellations and updates.
• Communicate with providers and clinic staff to resolve scheduling discrepancies or clarify requests.
• Schedule follow-up, new, return, and rescheduled appointments in a timely manner.
• Provide professional, trauma-informed customer service while protecting patient privacy.
