Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Clinical RN Manager to lead the Staffing Resource Float Pool (Finance) in Florida. The role combines clinical leadership with staffing oversight, ensuring safe, high-quality pediatric care while managing resources and staff education.

The manager will supervise RNs and other providers, drive recruitment and retention, and support ongoing professional development, with emphasis on patient outcomes and regulatory readiness in a dynamic pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school.
• Active Florida or multi-state RN license.
• Master's Degree in nursing leadership/administration preferred.
• Minimum 5 years pediatric nursing experience.
• Previous management, leadership, and education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involved in quality, safety, patient experience outcomes and helps plan, organize, and lead nursing care delivery.
• Accountability and supervision of all registered nurses and other healthcare providers who deliver nursing care.
• Recruitment, retention, coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance review, education, and professional development.
• Responsible for effective utilization of resources in daily management decisions, monitoring expenses and compliance with budget.
• Maintains adequate coverage in the assigned clinical area and justifies staffing changes based on capacity and demand.
• Maintains educational resources within the department to assess and advance clinical practice and offer programs for all shifts.
• Responsible for training of new staff and ongoing training through orientation, competencies, and continuing education.

The Clinical Manager is a clinical administrator with unit or department level span of influence requiring distinct clinical or academic expertise. The Clinical Manager shares the responsibility of the supervision and evaluation of associates and with the organizational structure and size of the unit(s), also has teaching responsibilities and may have direct patient care responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree - BSN required [from an accredited school of nursing]; Master's Degree - MSN preferred [In nursing leadership/management, policy, or administration preferred, from an accredited school of nursing]
• Active Florida or multi-state RN license, required
• Professional certification in nursing administration, or other relevant management, education, or area of clinical specialty, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years pediatric nursing experience
• Previous management, leadership, and education experience preferred

Upon hire, the following are required:

• American Heart Association BLS, and PALS
