Nemours Children's Health in Orlando is seeking a Clinical RN Manager for Staffing Resource Float Pool to lead nursing care, ensure patient safety and quality outcomes, and supervise RN staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Involved in quality, safety, patient experience outcomes; plan, organize, and lead nursing care.
• Accountability and supervision of all registered nurses and other healthcare providers who deliver nursing care.
• Recruitment and retention, coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance review, education, and professional development
• Responsible for effective and efficient utilization of resources in daily management decisions, monitoring expenses and compliance with budget
• Maintains adequate coverage in the assigned clinical area and justifies staffing changes based on capacity and demand
• Maintain educational resources within the department to assess, support, and advance clinical practice and offer programs to meet needs for all shifts
• Responsible for training of new staff and ongoing training through orientation, competencies, in-service/continuing education
• Identifies educational needs through assessments and analysis
• Assures nursing compliance with regulatory readiness agencies
• Supports evidence based pediatric nursing
• Directs nursing planning and policy making through collaboration
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in direct patient care
• Comply with The Standards of Nursing Administration Practice.

Job Description

The Clinical Manager is a clinical administrator with unit or department level span of influence requiring distinct clinical or academic expertise. The Clinical Manager shares the responsibility of the supervision and evaluation of associates and with the organizational structure and size of the unit(s), also has teaching responsibilities and may have direct patient care responsibilities.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree - BSN required [from an accredited school of nursing];Master’s Degree - MSN preferred [In nursing leadership/management, policy, or administration preferred, from an accredited school of nursing]
• Active Florida or multi-state RN license, required
• Professional certification in nursing administration, or other relevant management, education, or area of clinical specialty, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years pediatric nursing experience
• Previous management, leadership, and education experience preferred

Upon hire, the following are required:

• American Heart Association BLS, and PALS
