Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Involved in quality, safety, patient experience outcomes; helps plan, organize, and lead delivery of nursing care.
• Accountability and supervision of all registered nurses and other healthcare providers delivering nursing care in the clinical area.
• Recruitment and retention, coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, performance review, education, and professional development.
• Manage resources effectively, monitor expenses, and ensure budget compliance.
• Maintain adequate clinical coverage and justify staffing changes based on capacity and demand.
• Maintain educational resources to assess, support, and advance clinical practice; offer programs for all shifts.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing education through orientation, competencies, in-service/continuing education, career development & role transition.
• Identify educational needs through assessments and analysis.
• Ensure nursing compliance with regulatory readiness agencies.
• Support evidence-based pediatric nursing and collaborate on planning and policy.
• Maintain current knowledge and competency in direct patient care.
• Comply with The Standards of Nursing Administration Practice.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree - BSN required [from an accredited school of nursing]; Master’s Degree - MSN preferred [In nursing leadership/management, policy, or administration preferred, from an accredited school of nursing]
• Active Florida or multi-state RN license, required
• Professional certification in nursing administration, or other relevant management, education, or area of clinical specialty, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years pediatric nursing experience
• Previous management, leadership, and education experience preferred
