Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a licensed RN for a full-time NOC shift in a long-term care setting. The nurse will work under the Director of Nursing Services to provide comprehensive care, supervise CNAs, and ensure high standards of resident safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include admissions, care planning, medication administration, assessments, and collaboration with physicians. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Current nursing license in good standing with the State licensing board.
• Ability to lead, communicate, and organize; provide quality patient care.
• Critical thinking to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate clinical data.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Proficiency in English language speaking, reading and writing.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care as prescribed by physician and within standards of care.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges residents per policy.
• Orients new residents and families as necessary.
• Gives/receives nursing reports at shift start and end.
• Conducts daily rounds to assess status and revise care plan.
• Documents care accurately in medical records.
• Updates and revises resident plans of care; transcribes orders.
• Assist in rounds with attending physician when needed.
• Prepares/administers medications as ordered.
• Evaluates resident response and reports adverse reactions.
• Ensures narcotics are secure and inventories accurate.
• Orders medications, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Requisitions/arranges diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Reports resident status to RN Supervisor and others as appropriate.
• Attends care conferences and other required meetings.
• Presents a professional image to residents and families.
• Participates in QA and HIPAA compliance initiatives.
• Performs other duties and supervises CNAs as needed.
