Job summary

Legacy of Hope (LoH) is partnered with UAB Hospital and Children’s of Alabama, with the primary work location at UAB Hospital. The Clinical Response Coordinator (CRC) conducts on-site donor hospital visits, assesses donor suitability, and coordinates labs and donor management in collaboration with on-call staff.

The role emphasizes communication with hospital physicians, patient families, and off-site Legacy of Hope staff, with a focus on timely and ethical donor care and transport arrangements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a medical or related field.
• One year of nursing, EMT, paramedic, respiratory therapist, social worker, or donation-industry experience required.
• Hospital experience, crisis intervention, or grief support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site donor hospital visits within coverage area.
• Assess donor suitability and communicate findings to hospital teams and off-site staff.
• Coordinate transport of blood for serology and tissue typing; support donor management after brain death.
