Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients in Stratford, NJ. The role requires administering prescribed therapies, monitoring response, and coordinating with physicians to optimize outcomes.

You must be a graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care, licensed by the state, and hold NBRC credentials or obtain NBRC registration within 2 years. BLS is required; ACLS/NALS preferred.

Qualifications

• AMA approved School of Respiratory Care graduate.
• Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NALS preferred.
• Registered by NBRC or must obtain NBRC registration within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed respiratory therapy including oxygen, medications, PFTs, ABGs, and ventilation.
• Performs evaluation procedures and makes recommendations per protocols to improve outcomes.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation with rounds, weaning, airway care and diagnostics.
• Documents patient care activities and ensures compliance with quality standards.
• Communicates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
