Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Night shift at Einstein Philadelphia. The RT administers respiratory therapies, evaluates patient needs with physicians, and documents care per regulations.

The role involves ventilated patient care, ABG analysis, and coordination with the health care team. Requirements include an AMA-approved school background, state licensure, and NBRC registration (or plan to obtain within 2 years).

Qualifications

• Professional competency in Respiratory Care per NBRC credential.
• Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine.
• NBRC registration must be obtained within 2 years of hire, if not already registered.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed respiratory therapy, including oxygen, medications, PFTs, ABGs, and ventilation.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation and conducts rounds, troubleshooting, and weaning as needed.
• Collects specimens (sputum, blood, breath) for diagnosis and analyzes results for treatment decisions.
• Communicates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and safe patient management.
• Ensures PFT/ABG labs operate smoothly and performs duties as assigned.
