Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Research Nurse to support the Pak Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research. The role coordinates nursing care for inpatients and outpatients involved in investigator-initiated studies, under supervision of physicians and nursing leadership, and supports regulatory aspects of research studies.

You will recruit and enroll participants, monitor safety and protocol adherence, and collaborate with the research team to ensure high-quality data

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN (National League for Nursing) approved Nursing program
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• BLS Basic Life Support certification at hire
• Registered Nurse licensure in Texas at hire

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care, nursing assessment, and data collection for clinical research studies
• Provide working direction for research activities to nursing staff or other support personnel
• Assist in resolving problems relating to patient care and liaison with research team and stakeholders
• Counsel patients regarding medical conditions and guidance related to study protocols
• Assist in developing procedures for inpatient and outpatient research activities and follow study protocols
