Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Research Nurse to support NIDDK clinical trials on-site in Bethesda, MD. The role emphasizes training staff, coordinating protocol activities, and ensuring patient safety and data integrity throughout study conduct.

You will mentor clinicians, manage data collection, and liaise with physicians to align patient care with protocol requirements. Maryland RN licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing with at least 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience.
• Active Maryland RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate the training program for physicians, nurses and staff.
• Mentor staff in trial execution and resolve logistics in study implementation.
• Provide training on investigator, protocol and data collection practices.
• Mentor nurses to develop skills in research protocols and clinical research.
• Perform protocol activities including study drug administration, data collection and patient counseling.
• Maintain contact with patients and referring physicians to explain conditions and results and discuss future status.
• Interface with inpatient and outpatient staff to address patient concerns and protocol compliance.
• Conduct patient examinations and monitor conditions; build complete clinical databases.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety in protocol studies.
• Participate in clinical update lectures and branch meetings.
