Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to act as a liaison between NU investigator teams and Northwestern Medical Group. The CRN will work with an inter-professional team to ensure proper conduct of clinical studies across NMG and NMH.

Responsibilities include coordinating study logistics, providing direct nursing care, monitoring protocol adherence, and communicating with investigators and sponsors. Strong clinical and research knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years’ experience in clinical research trials with Good Clinical Practice.
• Intermediate computer and internet knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills.
• Meticulous organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates, coordinates, and logistically supports assigned study protocols.
• Provides direct nursing patient care including inpatient care and procedures.
• Implements protocols and presents information at meetings, monitors budget.
• Attends investigator meetings and site visits; coordinates external vendor visits.
• Schedules protocol procedures and maintains study-related communications.
