Job summary

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking a Clinical Research Systems Manager to lead the research technology team, oversee enterprise systems, and ensure quality, security, and regulatory compliance across platforms such as Advarra eSource/EDC, CTMS, and Veeva SiteVault.

You will collaborate with clinical, operational, regulatory, and administrative teams, provide training, and guide strategic technology initiatives to support high-quality patient care and research operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical research technology systems management or administration.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial protocols, electronic source, CTMS, regulatory, and project management systems architecture.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, network security, and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent leadership, project management and communication skills.
• Able to travel up to 20% domestically.

Responsibilities

• First-line manager for Research Systems Administrator, Quality Specialist, and Data Developer.
• Provide training, mentorship, and professional development for staff.
• Define tasks, priorities, and workload balancing across the team.
• Meet with reports regularly to review metrics and provide feedback.
• Conduct HR responsibilities including interviews and reviews.
• Maintain professional communication and collaborative work environment.
• Define and execute strategic vision for clinical research technology systems.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems (Advarra eSource/EDC, CTMS, SiteVault, M365, Monday.com).
• Manage system quality, security, and privacy with regulatory compliance.
• Ensure analytics systems (SQL, Power BI) meet expectations and generate reports.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, regulatory, and admin teams to translate needs.
• Identify gaps, perform root cause analyses, implement improvements.
• Provide training materials, guides, SOPs, and documentation for systems.
• Serve as escalation point for customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support audits, inspections, and monitoring of electronic systems and data management.
