Job summary

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking a Clinical Research Systems Manager in Phoenix, AZ to lead the research technology team and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of clinical research systems across the organization.

The candidate will manage staff, ensure regulatory compliance (FDA/ICH-GCP/HIPAA), and drive data integrity with tools like eSource/EDC, CTMS, SiteVault, Power BI, SQL, and Monday.com. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferred in CS/IT/Health Informatics
• 3+ years of experience in clinical research technology systems management
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial protocols, electronic source, CTMS, regulatory, and project management systems architecture
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, network security, and HIPAA compliance
• Excellent leadership, project management and communication skills
• Able to travel up to 20% domestically

Responsibilities

• First-line manager for Research Technology staff; supervise, evaluate
• Train, mentor, and develop team members
• Assign tasks, projects, and priorities to balance workloads
• Meet with direct reports to review metrics and provide feedback
• Perform HR responsibilities including interviews, reviews, reprimands, terminations
• Maintain professional, courteous communication across stakeholders
• Define and execute the strategic vision for clinical research technology systems
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise systems (eSource/EDC, CTMS, SiteVault, Microsoft 365, Monday.com)
• Manage system quality, security, and privacy risks; ensure compliance
• Ensure analytics systems perform with dashboards and reporting using SQL/Power BI
• Promote data integrity and quality standards
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, regulatory, and admin teams to translate needs into tech solutions
• Identify gaps, perform root-cause analysis, implement improvements
• Provide training materials, SOPs, and system documentation
• Serve as escalation point for customers, vendors, and stakeholders
• Support audits, inspections, and monitoring activities
• Stay current with emerging tech, AI tools, and regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned
